Publivo in detail
What Publivo is, how it works day to day, what's included – and answers to the questions businesses ask us most.
What is Publivo?
Publivo is the social media software for trade businesses.
An app for the phone and a dashboard for the office: your team sends photos, videos or voice notes from the job site. Publivo turns them into posts in your voice, adapts them to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and your Google Business Profile, schedules and publishes them. Projects with several photos also become an article for the blog on your website.
You approve, nothing more. No agency, no editorial plan, no writing in the evening. Built for carpenters, roofers, plumbers, electricians, painters, metalworkers, tilers and manufacturing businesses that want to be visible without it depending on one person.

Questions and answers
The questions businesses ask us most – sorted by topic.
Cost and getting started
What does social media management cost for a trade business?
With an agency usually several hundred to well over a thousand euros a month, depending on scope — plus your time delivering material and checking copy. A freelancer is cheaper but rarely available long-term. Publivo costs €279 a month, everything included, cancel monthly — and the material comes from the job site, not from a briefing.
Does social media pay off financially for a small business?
If you measure it in likes: no. If you measure whether customers trust you before they call and skilled workers get in touch: yes. A single extra job or one good application per quarter covers the cost. The real lever, though, is the blog: expert articles bring visitors via Google and AI answers — permanently, without ad budget.
Agency, freelancer, do it yourself or software — what's right for us?
Doing it yourself usually fails not on will but on time and consistency. Freelancers and agencies need input from you and cost continuously. Software is right when it takes the thinking off your plate (what do we post, when, where, with which image) and leaves you just the approval. That's what Publivo is built for — businesses where nobody has time for Instagram.
Any hidden costs — images, channels, users?
No. All channels, unlimited posts, image generation, blog, inbox, analytics and up to six users are included. No setup fee, no minimum term, no credit card for the trial.
What happens if we stop?
Your posts stay on the channels, your blog stays on your domain — nothing disappears. Access is paused, your data is kept for a while, and you can pick up again anytime. Cancel monthly means exactly that here.
Social media for trades
Does social media actually bring a trade business any jobs?
Rarely directly — and it's still worth it, for two reasons: customers compare two or three businesses before they call and look at where something is going on. Skilled workers do the same before they apply. A profile whose last post is from 2023 costs you both. Visibility isn't a job machine; it's the trust that makes enquiries and applications arrive in the first place.
What should a trade business post on Instagram and Facebook?
What you do every day anyway: a job site before/after, a detail you're proud of, the team at work, a question customers keep asking. No ad copy, no slogans. The problem is rarely the idea — it's capturing and writing it up. That's exactly what Publivo is for: photo or voice note in, finished post out, for every channel and the blog on your website.
How often does a business need to post for it to matter?
One or two posts a week is plenty — as long as they come regularly. Consistency beats volume. More important than likes: the same content should land as expert articles on your website. That's where it stays, gets found on Google and shows up in AI answers when someone asks about your trade in your region.
Who in the business is supposed to do this? We have nobody for it.
Nobody has to write. Publivo learns your business — trade, tone, region, services — and turns a job-site photo plus a 20-second voice note into posts that sound like you. You approve, the rest runs: calendar, publishing, blog on your website. The effort inside the business is one photo per job.
How does a trade business show up in ChatGPT and Google AI answers?
AI answers draw on sources that clearly link location and service and answer real questions. Concretely: a page per service with the location, a named service area, and regular expert articles about what your customers google ("cost of renovating a wooden staircase"). Publivo writes exactly those articles from your daily work — at the rhythm you set.
Is a blog still worth it for a trade business?
More than ever — just not as "news from the shop", but as answers to customer questions. Almost every trade has thousands of how-to searches a month. Whoever answers them gets found before anyone searches for a business — and gives the AI the material to name exactly that business.
Publivo day to day
Isn't ChatGPT plus Canva enough — why a dedicated tool?
For a single post, sure. The difference is the week after: who remembers what's missing, which channel is due, which image fits, whether the blog is updated? Publivo knows your business, your topics and your calendar, suggests posts, generates image and text per channel and publishes — inbox for comments included. The tool isn't the AI; it's that nothing slips.
Can an AI really write so it sounds like my business?
If it knows your business: yes. Publivo learns trade, region, services, tone and typical phrasing — from onboarding and from what you approve or change. A voice note like "finished the staircase at the M. family today, oiled oak" becomes a post that sounds like you, not like an agency. And you see every post before it goes out.
Where do the images come from if I don't take photos every day?
Ideally from you — a phone photo from the job site beats any stock photo. Where there's no photo, Publivo generates fitting images and text overlays and labels AI images clearly. For how-to articles and topic posts that's plenty; for "we built this" you use your own photo.
How do I get posts onto my website, not just Instagram?
Through the Publivo blog: every expert article appears on your own domain in your website's design and can be embedded as a blog section on your homepage. That's the part that lasts — Instagram posts are gone in three days, an article gets found for years and cited by AI answers.
Comments, messages, reviews — do I have to watch five apps then?
No, one: Publivo collects comments and messages from all connected channels in one inbox, with reply suggestions in your business's tone. Who answers stays your decision — but nobody has to jump between Facebook, Instagram and Google anymore.
What if I don't like a post?
Then it doesn't go out. Everything runs through approval: edit, regenerate, discard. Publivo learns from every change. And if you'd rather preview than approve, let suggestions arrive as ideas only and decide yourself what goes into the calendar.
Writing posts
What do I write under a job-site photo?
What the customer wanted, what you did and one detail only a pro would notice — in three sentences, no ad speak. Example: "The M. family wanted to keep the old staircase, but without the creaking. Steps refastened, oak oiled, handrail sanded. Best part: you can't hear a thing anymore." The generator above turns that into a finished post in seconds — free, no sign-up.
How do I write a social media post for my trade without it being embarrassing?
Concrete instead of general, show instead of claim. Not "quality is our standard" but "2 mm joint because the customer wanted the tile without an edge". Not "we're proud of our team" but a photo from the site with names. And one sentence that invites a question. Anything else reads like a brochure — and everyone notices.
Which hashtags should a trade business use?
Few and specific: trade, town, service — "#joinery #lingen #staircases". Not 30 hashtags, no English trends for a German audience. On Facebook and Google hashtags barely matter; the local reference in the text matters more. The generator sets fitting hashtags automatically; you can remove or add.
How do I turn a post into a blog article for the website too?
The job-site photo becomes a project post; the customer question behind it becomes a how-to article: "Renovating an old wooden staircase — what's possible, what does it cost?" That's the piece that gets found on Google and lands in AI answers. Publivo makes both from the same input — post and article — and publishes the article on your blog under your domain.
